Here’s a beautiful video by Lamborghini of the new Huracán Performante racing the Nürburgring.
The Performante has a 5.2 liter V10 engine that will put out 640 PS / 471 kW at 8000 RPM. The body is constructed out of aluminium and forged carbon fibre. This supercar is able to do 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and 100-200 km/h in 6 seconds. The top speed is limited at 325 km/h, but in theory the car is capable of 351 km/h.
The hydraulics system is the new Lamborghini ALA (Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva) which is said to be 80% lighter than regular sports car hydraulics. The car is priced at $274,390 USD.
In October 2016 the Huracán Performante set a record lap time of 6:52.01 on the Nürburgring Nordschleife steered by Marco Mapelli on his first attempt. This is the world’s fastest production car on the track.
